The Snowden Waterfowl Center of Excellence and The University of Arkansas System: A partnership committed to expanding our capacity to ensure the health and viability of waterfowl populations and their habitats.

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is geographically well positioned among the wintering mallards of the Mississippi Flyway. Its faculty, staff, students, and facilities are equipped with the leadership and means to fulfill the vision and mission of the only Center for Excellence designated to Waterfowl among universities in the nation.”

The Snowden Waterfowl Center of Excellence and the Dyke-Snowden Endowed Waterfowl Chair were established on 13 October 2025 on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
