RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on the interactions among forest roads, forest operations, soil,
vegetation, and root systems, with the goal of advancing sustainable and environmentally
responsible approaches to forest engineering and management. My primary research interests
include forest road planning and environmental impacts, soil–root mechanical interactions,
root reinforcement, soil bioengineering, erosion control, slope stabilization, and
the effects of forest operations and management practices on soil, vegetation, and
adjacent ecosystems. I am particularly interested in understanding how vegetation
and root systems influence soil shear strength, aggregate stability, infiltration,
and slope stability, and in applying this knowledge to develop nature-based and engineering
solutions for soil erosion control and shallow-landslide mitigation. My research ultimately
seeks to improve environmental sustainability, resilience, and long-term performance
of forest infrastructure and managed forest landscapes.
