The Information Technology Department provides support, guidance, and leadership to students, faculty, and staff in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of technology in an academic environment.

UAM e-mail is the official method of communication between students and University faculty/staff.  All official communication with students via email must be sent to the student’s UAM-issued email address (in the format ******@uamont.edu").

All students have access to UAM's Wireless Network. The secure Wi-Fi offers an encrypted and safe connection to the UAM network, which includes full internet access as well as access to UAM Campus Resources including WeevilNet, Email, Library Resources, and Blackboard.

Students will use their UAM email address (xxxxxxxx@uamont.edu) and UAM password (Um1234567890) to connect to Wi-Fi on their devices.

Please enter an IT work order if you need assistance connecting to the WIFI.

Please note that if you are experiencing issues on your Wi-Fi-connected device or have recently changed your UAM password, you may need to "Forget the Network" on your device and reconnect to the network. Your device remembers each Wi-Fi network you joined on that device, and it automatically joins that network whenever it's in range, so you will need to re-enter your UAM login credentials to re-join the connection.

Some TVs are not compatible with ethernet or ethernet adapters, so do a little bit of research before purchasing one.

Printers cannot be connected to Wi-Fi. Use a printer cable to connect your laptop to the printer.

  • UAM-Secure-M – The secure Wi-Fi offers an encrypted and safe connection to the UAM network, which includes full internet access as well as access to UAM Campus Resources, including WeevilNet, Email, Library Resources, and Blackboard.
  • UAM-Guest-M – The guest Wi-Fi is a network for guests visiting campus or for people holding events on campus for the public. Guests can register for temporary, daily accounts through the login portal upon joining this network. Faculty, Staff, and Students should be using the UAM-Secure-M Wi-Fi and not UAM-Guest-M when trying to connect their devices to the campus Wi-Fi.
  • UAM-Resident-M - The UAM-Resident-M network was developed to meet the needs in our university resident spaces for various internet-connected devices.
