Eligibility
The Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative supports eligible Arkansas parents and guardians
with modest incomes, providing assistance for college tuition, books, childcare, transportation,
supplies, and other college related expenses. Students may choose from college credit
or short-term noncredit programs.
Eligibility and Income Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant must be an Arkansas resident and be One of the following:
- Custodial or non-custodial parent
- Relative with custody or legal responsibility for a child.
- Justice Involved Parents
- OR Minor Parents
of at least one child under the age of 21, and meet One of the requirements:
One of the following:
- Transitional Employment Assitance (TEA)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assitance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid or Chip (Including ARKids)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Supplemental Security Disability (SSD)
- Woman, Infant & Children (WIC)
- Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Section 8 or Public Housing
OR
The household income is less than 250% of the federal poverty level. (See the income
chart)
Example: Household income 250% of the federal poverty level.

Career Pathways Initiative is funded by Temporary Assitance for Needy Families (TANF)
& AR Division of Higher Education.
