The University of Arkansas at Monticello Concert and Chamber Choirs will host the Fall Choir Concert, “Echoes from the Source,” on Monday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on UAM’s Monticello campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The program offers a thoughtfully curated musical journey showcasing the human experience through choral literature. In developing the repertoire for this performance, the programming drew inspiration from a broad historical lens — incorporating artistic considerations that span from the earliest vocal traditions and ancient roots of singing to contemporary choral chamber works.

“This concert is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share the fruits of their hard work with the campus and the wider community,” said Colt Lien, director of choral activities and instructor of music at UAM. “It’s no secret that music moves us, quite literally. We hope to share the impact of those ancient sounds, allowing listeners to engage directly with the very vibrations that our ancestors felt thousands of years ago.”

For more information about the concert, contact the UAM Division of Music at 870-460-1060.
