Welcome to the website of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
As chancellor, I want to extend a warm welcome to you and tell you
about the educational opportunities available to you at UAM. 

At UAM, opportunity is a word we've used throughout our history. UAM has, and always will, represent opportunity to people seeking a higher education and a better life. That message resonates today as we begin our second century. 

Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college. Others are non-traditional students who have decided to take advantage of the opportunity to change careers or complete a dream that began years ago. The university is constantly exploring and developing new opportunities to help you obtain a higher education, including new degree options available through our Colleges of Technology in Crossett and McGehee.

As a comprehensive system of postsecondary education institutions in southeast Arkansas, our primary goal is to serve the needs of our students through teaching, research and public service.  I invite you to continue your virtual visit of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and then make time to visit us in person so that we can become better acquainted.  I look forward to meeting you.
