The ASSET is an assessment-advising program designed to identify the basic skill level of students as they enter institutions of higher education. The ASSET test is used as a substitution for the ACT. Cost: A fee of $20.00 must be paid to the UAM Cashier’s Office prior to testing. Please bring a copy of your receipt with you to the exam. Availability: The ASSET is administered on the UAM campus for students who: are enrolled, have been admitted, are in the process of applying to UAM and did not take the ACT, will not have an opportunity to take a national ACT test prior to enrollment. How to Register: You will need to complete all necessary documents for admission to UAM through the Office of Admissions prior to the exam. Pick up a registration form in the Counseling, Testing, & Career Services Office and turn in prior to test date. Time Required: Approximately two hours of actual testing time are required. Important:
