Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for April 28, 2005
I. Old Business:
- Reading of minutes from April 7, 2005 meeting.
- Relay for Life: April 29, 2005 starts at 6:00pm ends on April 30 at 6:00am. We still need walkers. If raining will not use decorations, will use them next year. Will have snacks and will play games.
II. New Business:
- Motion to remove old officers Chris Simpson and Thomas Wust from the signature card on checking account and ali new officers Robin Logan and Chris Lagrone.

Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for April 7, 2005
Board Members Present: Chris Simpson, Kevin Murphy, Thomas Wust, Deana Moffatt, Pamela Hopper
I. Old Business:
- T-Shirts are in.
- Still waiting to hear from Century Tel, may not get to go this semester.
- Robin Logan gave report on Easter Food Drive and the Adopt-a-Soldier.
II. New Business
- Relay-for-Life: need $100 registration fee (Club agrees to pay). There will be many games throughout the night there will be money to win. Contests include ?Dude looks like a Lady?, lip sync, Pajama Mama, greased watermelon, scavenger hunt.
- Denson Watson will bring table, Robin Logan has portable fire pit. Still need walkers. Theme is Hawaiian, club agrees to pay $50.00 for decorations.
- April 26 CIS Reception in the UC at 12:30.

Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for March 3, 2005
Board Members Present: Chris Simpson, Kevin Murphy, Pamela Hopper, Thomas Wust.
I. Old Business:
- Officer Reports: Treasurer, Thomas Wust
Secretary, Pamela Hopper - Adopt-A-Soldier: Since our CIS soldiers are coming home, club decides to get names of other UAM soldiers, from Carol Dolberry, to send boxes to. If none are available, will contact the armed forces and just get some names. To be handled by Robin Logan.
- Chris Simpson to presented with calculator for having the winning T-shirt design.
- Field Trip to Century Tel in Monroe. Terri Hopkins has talked with the IT department, however is waiting to hear back from the PR lady about when we can come.
- Easter Food Drive ends on March 25, 2005. Robin Logan will deliver the cans.
- Career Fair Resume Book from the CIS department. Resumes due by March 11th. Career Fair on March 30th.
- New officer elections will be held on April 7th meeting. Please start thinking about the offices you may want to hold and who you may want to vote for.
- Relay for life coming up on April 29th-30th, please sign up to walk in Nancy's office.
II. New Business:
- Our last meeting will be held on April 28th, we will induct new officers new members on that day.
- Applications for book Stipends available in Nancy Tappe's office, due by April 7th, awarded on April 28th.
- CIS club reception on April 26th at 12:40 in the University Center.
- If not going to be able to attend the April 7th meeting and want to be nominated for an office, let Ms. Hopkins know before the meeting. You must be present to vote, but not to run for office.
- Door prizes from Dr. Roiger for today's meeting. 2 T-Shirts and a mouse pad.

Cynthia Grove - T-shirt - Will have pot luck at next CIS club meeting, will be a sign up sheet in Nancy's office.

Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for February 3, 2005
Board Members Present: Chris Simpson, Kevin Murphy, Pamela Hopper, Thomas Wust.
I. Old Business:
- Officer Reports: Treasurer, Thomas Wust
Secretary, Pamela Hopper - Thanksgiving Food drive thank you card from Sally Abedi read to club.
- Report on the boy and girl adopted by the club for Angel Tree for Christmas, by Kevin Murphy. They were very excited and got many nice gifts from the club including a Play Station 2 for the boy and a Stereo for the girl. They opened their gifts on December 27, 2004.
- Adopt-A-Soldier: Volunteers needed to box and ship the things we have collected. Robin Logan and Denson Watson.
- Motion made and passed for club to purchase an additional trash can for aluminum can collection and to be placed on the Third Floor of the BBC. Will be handled by Russell Corker.
- Voting on T-Shirt Design to be done today. Had five designs were submitted. The Winning design was by Chris Simpson.
II. New Business:
- Field Trip to Century Tel in Monroe suggested. Terri Hopkins to set it up. People going will go in their own vehicles and will be given money for gas.
- Easter Food drive, Robin Logan and Tillie Russell to be in charge of this.
- Career Fair Resume Book from the CIS department. Resumes should be in by March 11th so they can be bound into a book for the Career Fair on March 30th.
- New officer elections will be held on April 7th.

Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for November 4, 2004
Board Members Present: Chris Simpson, Pamela Hopper, Thomas Wust, Deana Moffatt.
I. Old Business:
- Adopt-a-Soldier care package items ready to be sent.
- T-shirt contest designs are in will vote on design at this meeting if we have time, if not will vote at December meeting.
- Book Stipends to be given out in December, approximately 2 ? 4 will be given and are Donated by Dr. Roiger. Requirements: to be a member of the CIS club and attend at least two of the four meetings for the Fall 2004 semester. Also, one is guaranteed to be given to an officer of the club.
- Membership dues due today.
II. New Business:
- Christmas projects: Coat Drive and Angel Tree. Have picked two children a boy and a girl named Woody and Kelly. All donations due by the December meeting when we will wrap the presents. Will be headed by Kevin Murphy. Wish lists can be picked up in office of Nancy Tappe.
- Speakers Jeff Dombrowski and Polly Irons from Entergy in Pine Bluff.
IV. Meeting Conclusion:
- Next meeting set for December 2, 2004.
- Food will be available in BBC all day and professors will provide sandwiches for the meeting.

Chi Iota Sigma Minutes for October 7, 2004
Call to order at: 12:45 pm
Board Members Present: Chris Simpson, Kevin Murphy, Pamela Hopper, Thomas Wust.
I. Old Business:
- Adopt-a-Soldier care package items and newsletter due October 15, 2004. List of things we can send is in the CIS office.
- T-shirt contest designs due October 29, 2004. Voting will be on November 4, 2004. Must have UAM and Chi Iota Sigma Greek letters with a maximum of three colors including the color of the shirt.
- Book Stipends to be given out in December, approximately 2 - 4 will be given and are Donated by Dr. Roiger. Requirements: to be a member of the CIS club and attend at least two of the four meetings for the Fall 2004 semester. Also, one is guaranteed to be given to an officer of the club.
II. New Business:
- Student Ambassadors are sponsoring a pumpkin decorating contest, request for volunteers to decorate a pumpkin for the CIS Club.
- Thanksgiving Food Drive, starting October 7, 2004, to be headed by Robin Logan.
- Christmas projects: Coat Drive and Angel Tree. Will pick the children from the Angel Tree and have information at November meeting. All donations due by the December meeting when we will wrap the presents. Will be headed by Kevin Murphy.
- Jennifer Jones will donate two large plastic garbage cans to the club for Aluminum can collections.
- Motion accepted to remove Russell Corker, George Lindsey, and Jeff Dombrowski from the CIS Club checking account, and to add Chris Simpson and Thomas Wust to it.
- Speaker at next meeting will be Jeff Dombrowski and his boss from Entergy in Pine Bluff.
- Dues is due today October 7, 2004. $10.00 for a year or $6.00 for a semester. Please pay Thomas Wust or Nancy Tappe.
III. Meeting Conclusion:
- Thanks to everyone for bringing the food for today's meeting. The pot luck was a success.
- Officers to decide on food for next meeting.
- Next meeting on November 4, 2004
