UA System President Names Hughes to UAM Chancellor Post

LITTLE ROCK - University of Arkansas System President Donald Bobbitt announced today that he will recommend Karla Hughes, Ph.D., to the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas System as chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM).

Five Projects To Benefit From Centennial Opportunity Fund

MONTICELLO, AR — The addition of multimedia technology to the John F. Gibson University Center is one of five projects selected for funding from the University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Centennial Circle Endowment earnings, according to Linda Yeiser, vice chancellor for advancement and university relations.

UAM Announces 2015 Homecoming Court

MONTICELLO, AR — Twelve students have been selected to the 2015 homecoming court at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The court will be introduced during pregame ceremonies beginning at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday at Convoy Leslie-Cotton Boll Stadium. The homecoming queen, chosen by a vote of the student body, will be announced at the conclusion of the ceremony.

IMA Student Chapter Wins Gold Award

The student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants at the University of Arkansas at Monticello was recently presented with a Gold Chapter Award at the IMA national convention in Los Angeles. The award is presented to college and university chapters meeting a set of criteria, including submission of a yearbook and volunteer and community service work.
