MONTICELLO, AR — A pair of free seminars on how to operate a home-owned business and how to certify a business to acquire government contracts will be hosted this month by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
A seminar on government certification of businesses owned by women, minorities and veterans will be held March 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff. Participants will learn how to obtain the certifications needed to acquire government contracts.
A seminar on operating a home-based business will be held March 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the House Room of the John F. Gibson University Center at UAM. Participants will learn business planning, ideas and requirements to operate a home-based business.
