Posted by Human Relations on Thursday, December 15, 2011 10:17 AM University of Arkansas at Monticello The University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology - McGehee is seeking applicants for a full time, 10 1/2 month faculty position of Workforce Education Instructor (Health Information Technology). The faculty member will teach courses in Health Information Technology, including Medical Terminology for Business, Medical Reimbursement Methods, Medical Electronic Records, etc., as well as courses in Administrative Office Technology. The successful candidate will be hired at the instructor rank. Responsibilities: Duties include teaching courses in the Health Information Technology and Administrative Office Technology fields to students using a variety of teaching aids, methods and techniques. The position provides an exciting opportunity to provide leadership, advising and instruction to students. Teaching responsibilities may include web-based and/or compressed interactive video courses, evening and/or summer hours. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a formal education of a baccalaureate’s degree(s) in Health Information Technology, Business Administration or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience in medical office practice and instructing college level courses desired, Professional Coding Certification a plus. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience including excellent fringe benefits.
