The Great Political Deception

Chad Newton
Staff Writer

From lying through their teeth to flip flopping on their stances in search for political gain, it's politics as usual for you.  As long as you exist in this world, you will always be deceived by some manner of conflict and resolution manipulated by the powers that be.

Deception is the greatest gift, and curse, the human race was blessed with.  It's a way of getting what you want or having other people concur with your plans. Readers, the reason why I’m talking about political deception is because it intrigues me that these idiot politicians are not out for your interest.

In the same breath, why in the hell do you people still fall for the bullshit? I cannot answer for everyone, but I can answer by saying, “Stupid Americans!” Yes, I said it - stupid, obese, ignorant, lazy, useless Americans.

What happened to the strong, assertive, independent, go-getting Americans? I'll tell you what happened; too much television, video games, media trash, nonsense music and other things I’m not going to mention to sensitive ears.

We made the deception game too easy for politicians to maneuver and lobby laws under our noses. While Americans anticipate upgrades in phone technology, laws are being introduced, changed and modified to fit political, corporate and special groups' interest.

Test scores are failing our children; teachers in public schools are useless bums waiting for a paycheck; music arts are being cut; basic paper, books and pencils have came to a shortage; and the politicians running for president swore up and down on their desecrated graves they will change education for the better. Smart Bush Sr., Dumb Bush Jr. and even sleazy Clinton said this. Still to this day there have been no improvements.

The deception tools the government and politicians use to keep our minds occupied are similar to the good ole days of imperialism in Communist China and Stalin Era Russia. But the tactics were more overt than today’s covert deception tactics. There were book burnings, people taken out of their homes at night and executed, neighbors that informed the secret police if their neighbors were involved in political activities.

Let’s look at the Republican versus Democrat presidential run. The ordeal is emotional, exciting and unpredictable.  Both parties have differences in their beliefs and policies. One party expressed they are always right in policies and faith, and the other party is wrong and immoral. The opposing party expressed they are truthful and believe in them; the opposing party also expressed the party of the right and faithful are lying to you.

To be very candid, and I mean very candid, both parties are lying to you. Think about it - it’s total deception. The parties do not care for you or your interest.  One side of the party will tell you lies and hide the truth, while the other party will tell you the truth, not the full truth but a distorted truth.

The deception game has been played ever since the serpent deceived Eve into eating the apple (as it so claims). The division of Americans between republicans and democrats left us open to deceiving politics. The only thing left to do is to become independent.

I myself once fell into the art of deception by smooth talking politicians and corporate-sponsored presidents. I decided for a long time to be an independent conservative. Like other people, we are stuck in the middle in what to believe. At times, it is frustrating trying to figure out who to believe, because everything a politician says to you is distorted.

I’m going to play the devil’s advocate (this is all my person opinion, do not take it as an offensive fussy britches) and say we need to be deceived. Maybe some things that are kept under wraps, we may not be able to take mentally.

Ask yourself this? Does God tell you everything he has done (if you believe in him)? The same reason why God does not reveal everything in the open is the same reason why the government and politicians does not reveal everything they know.

Deception is a beautiful thing, because some things are meant to be kept in the dark and not out in the open. I, myself, am doing the same thing to you, the readers. Do you think that I’m going to put everything out in the open, would that serve the purpose of deception?
