Techie Terrorists Sought.

The terrorist organization is looking for techies to help them with video montages and Web statements, according to an Arabic newspaper. Asharq al-Awsat claimed the group had positions open for video production. Applicants must have a rabid hatred of all things western, a fuzzy beard, and at least three references from martyrs.

Python vs. Gator. Python loses.

(AP) A 13-foot Burmese python literally exploded after trying to eat a 6-foot alligator in the Florida Everglades. Pythons are not native to Florida, but instead have been abandoned by pet owners. At least 150 pythons have been caught in the last two years, according to wildlife officials. I think they should market it for PPV or an Animal Planet show.

Dolphins sing Batman theme song.

Two studies, involving dolphins, have taught the sea dwellers to combine rhythm and vocalization. Scientists say they produced a very short version of the 1960s Batman theme song. All in all, I’d rather hear a dolphin sing than Natalie Simpson. Especially if it's to the tune of “So long and thanks for all the fish.”

WWE makes move to USA.

Just in case anyone cares, World Wrestling Entertainment made its return to the USA networks after a five-year run on Spike TV. The popular program Raw debuted Monday with a special three-hour edition featuring such stars as Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin. Wrestling isn't as mainstream as it used to be, but it still does its fair share in ratings, at least finishing in the top 10 cable shows.

Read of the Week.

"American Gods" by Neil Gaiman
One of his more popular works, "American Gods" is a tale of immigration, mythos and people. A fairly lengthy read, but definitely a page turner. Gaiman has the ability to create epic fantasy with believable characters and witty dialogue. Giving away too much of the plot would spoil the book
Grade: A+
