No Hunting on University Property

Bobby Webb
University Forest Manager

It's finally cooler weather and it is also hunting season again in Arkansas.

As a friendly reminder, ALL of the University Forest Land is closed to all forms of hunting. This specifically includes: archery hunting, muzzleloader hunting and all types of modern firearm hunting for deer and any other type of wildlife that may inhabit any part of the forest.

This specifically includes the University Forest around the campus as well as the old POW Camp section of the University Forest and the new Groce Tract addition to the University Forest. All of the UAM University Forest is legally posted with appropriate signs and/or purple posting paint.

You can find season dates and regulations at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Web site.

If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me at webbb@uamont.edu. .
