Ambassadors Hold Valentine’s  Package Drive

    The Student Ambassadors at the University of Arkansas at Monticello are sponsoring a Valentine's Day Care Package Drive to donate school supplies, entertainment items for children, kitchen items and personal hygiene items to the Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home for Children and the Arkansas Baptist Home for Children in Monticello.

   Donated items should be sent to the Office of Admissions on the first floor of Harris Hall by Monday, Feb. 13. Donations should be acceptable for children age four through 18 and for both boys and girls, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions and Ambassadors sponsor.

   Items for children may include hairbrushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, pens, pencils, note pads, child-oriented card games, child-oriented videos, dominoes and child-oriented books.

   Other donations could include cleaning supplies, paper products, boxes of pudding mix, potholders, kitchen towels and packaged snacks such as fruit and granola bars.
