UAM to Host Christmas Ceremony

Stringing the Lights - Representatives from the Student Government Association and Student Activities Board began putting up the Christmas tree Nov. 16 in the John F. Gibson University Center Green Room.

   The University of Arkansas at Monticello will kick off the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and a special appearance by Santa Claus on Monday, Nov. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in front of the John F. Gibson University Center.

   The ceremony is open to the public and begins at 5 p.m. with dinner in the University Center. Cost of the dinner is $7. UAM students with a meal plan will eat free.

   The ceremony will include a reading of the Christmas story and music by the Unity Choir. For more information, contact the Office of Student Affairs at (870) 460-1053.
