Welcome to the Division of General Studies

Students pursuing a degree who have not declared a major or who have not decided which major to pursue, are admitted as general studies students. UAM also offers the Bachelor of General Studies degree.

General studies students usually take courses required for the UAM core curriculum.
Many of these courses are the same for any major which means that while you are making progress toward a degree, you can also investigate subject areas of interest to you that may help you choose a major or career.
