Each graduate will receive four** tickets for their guests. Attendees must have tickets to enter. Ticketing information will be shared soon with graduates. All commencement ceremonies will be streamed live at and will a recording will be available to view later on our YouTube channel

**Tickets may be limited to only 2 per graduate if weather necessitates an indoor ceremony. 

COVID-19 Safety precautions

UAM continues to monitor pandemic activity in the state of Arkansas and will follow CDC, UA System, and Arkansas Department of Health event recommendations. All event details are subject to change. Please continue to check this page and UAM social media accounts for updates.

All persons participating in, working,  or attending the event must wear a mask or face covering throughout the event. (See I"nformation for Guests" section below for details.) Employees, participants and guests will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entering the facility for the event. Social distancing is required by all guest parties and event participants.

In order to follow strict COVID-19 safety measures, we are limited significantly in the seating capacity that may be utilized for this ceremony. Each graduate is allowed four tickets for their guests. All attendees must have a ticket. Thank you for your understanding.

Only graduates who have confirmed their participation with the Office of Academic Affairs are approved to participate in the ceremony. 

Participants must review the virtual rehearsal video prior to the ceremony. It will be uploaded to this webpage the week prior to the commencement exercises, at the latest. Graduates should continue to check email regularly as the event approaches.

Graduates participating in the ceremony must arrive early and will line up in the Lassiter Indoor Practice Facility. Comfortable shoes are recommended as line up area does not have seating. Doors will be open for line up at 8:30 a.m. and participants must line up by 9:00 a.m. at the latest. Graduates should not enter the stadium seating area with their guests as this will affect the facility capacity count. Participants must wear a mask throughout the entire event and will remain six feet apart wherever possible. No personal items of graduates will be stored in the IPF during the ceremony. 

Graduates must bring their herald card, regalia, and hood (if a graduate student). These items are available through the bookstore. Caps, gowns and tassels are free to graduates and will be available for pickup May 3-7. You must pick up your regalia before 9 a.m. on May 7. You must bring an official ID to receive your regalia. Hoods for Master's graduates must be purchased.

information for guests

Doors at Cotton Boll stadium will open to guests at 8:30 a.m. for the 10 a.m. ceremony.

All guests must present a ticket to gain entry into the stadium.  Thank you for your understanding. Children under two will be allowed entry without a ticket as long as they will not be using a separate seat. All guests will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entry. Face coverings or masks are required for all guests, except for children under ten (10) years of age. Face coverings are strongly encouraged for children between the ages of two (2) and nine (9).Masks must be worn for the entirety of the event. Groups should maintain a physical distance from one another. The NCAA Clear Bag Policy remains in place for any event held in an athletic facility, including commencement. 

Photography: For your convenience, UAM has secured a professional photographic service to take photos of each graduate as they receive their degrees. One photo will be mailed to each graduate free of charge. These will be mailed with diploma certificates in late summer for May graduates.

Parking will be available in lots adjacent to Cotton Boll Stadium as well as around the campus. Accessible parking is available in the Lassiter Indoor Practice Facility lot. This year we are regretfully unable to provide golf cart and bus transportation to campus guests due to COVID-19 safety recommendations.

Food and drink will not be allowed in the stadium. Please check this page during the week of the event to be sure there have been no changes made due to inclement weather (see note below).


In order to arrange adequate seating, any graduate with mobility limitations requiring special seating should contact the Registrar’s Office at 870-460-1034 no later than May 6. Graduates who have family and/or guests who need special seating arrangements due to mobility limitations should look for the "mobility seating" option in the ticketing portal once the ticketing link is live. More information will be shared soon.

inclement weather

In the case of rain, this webpage will be updated to indicate the change in location. Graduates will be updated via the RAVE Alert system. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, an indoor venue will limit seating substantially. The rain location is Steelman Fieldhouse located at 563 Weevil Drive.
In this case, graduates will be divided into three separate ceremonies as indicated below, and only 2 ticketed guests will be allowed per graduate. Thank you for your understanding.

The event will be streamed live online at regardless of the weather or ceremony location.
