The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) is a multiple-choice test that measures verbal and mathematical abilities. Many colleges across the country require the SAT for admission. The Subject Tests (SAT II) are multiple-choice tests, which measure knowledge of particular subjects. See the SAT II Bulletin for detailed information on subject areas available. The SAT I and II are administered at the same time. You may register for either the SAT or up to three Subject Tests at one administration.
