Interested in Hosting a Summer Camp
or Institute What is a Camp / Institute? According to University policy, a camp/institute is defined as any group of persons not enrolled at UAM who meet the educational mission of the University, wishing to use University facilities under either of the following two conditions: •Overnight use of
University housing. How Do I Request to Host a Camp / Institute? Policies governing the use of University facilities determine who may hold a camp/institute on the UAM campus. (university-wide administrative memorandum 715.1 & Board of Trustees policy 1715.1) • Requests for approval to hold a camp/institute on the UAM campus by both University and Non-University groups/individuals must be made to the UAM Camp/Institute Coordinator, who will direct the request to the UAM Executive Council for its consideration.
• Requests must
contain the following information: • Requests may be submitted by email or hard copy to: Julie Gentry, UAM Camp/ Institute Coordinator, beginning August 1, of each year. February 10th, is the deadline for submission of all requests to host summer camps or institutes on campus.
