Welding
The Welding Certificate of Proficiency can be earned in one semester and is designed to provide students with hands-on training to develop welding skills in Shielded Metal Arc (SMAW). The Welding program is taught by an instructor who is a certified American Welding Society (AWS) Welder, Educator, and Inspector. Students who successfully accomplish welding skills in accordance with established proficiency standards will be eligible to earn various American Welding Society certifications.
Students completing the Certificate of Proficiency in Welding may continue on and apply their earned credit toward a certificate or degree as follows:
- Technical Certificate – Welding Technology
- Associate of Applied Science Degree – General Technology
