Dr. Kelly J. Bryant

Dr. Bryant was appointed UAM School of Agriculture Dean and Director of the Southeast Research & Extension Center in December 2004 after serving as Interim Chair/Director. Prior to his administrative appointment, Dr. Bryant served as Professor of Agricultural Economics at UAM, as well as an Area Farm Management Specialist with the Cooperative Extension Service and worked with clientele and county agents in southern Arkansas regarding farm financial management. He came to UAM in 1993 from Texas A&M University, where he received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics. Dr. Bryant teaches the seminar and internship courses in the School of Agriculture. Kelly and his wife, Christine, have five children, Christopher, Corey, Kenneth, Caleb, and Kelsy.

Dr. Paul B. Francis

Dr. Francis, Professor of Agriculture, provides leadership in the plant and soil science option of the Agriculture Division's curriculum. He joined the UAM faculty in 1987 as an Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Tennessee. Prior to coming to UAM, Dr. Francis taught crop science courses at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. During his tenure at UAM, Dr. Francis has been active on many University committees, and is currently the advisor for the UAM Rodeo Club. He has written a lab manual to complement the Soils course offered by the division, as well as conducts forage and tomato research projects with other University cooperators. Dr. Francis is the overall coordinator for the annual Southeast District FFA Contest which is held on the UAM campus. He and his wife, Donna, a Family & Consumer Science agent with the Drew County Extension Office, have one son, Timothy.

Dr C. Robert Stark, Jr.

Dr. Bob Stark is Professor of Agricultural Economics. A native of Kentucky, Dr. Stark holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Kentucky and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. His teaching responsibilities include the introductory course in Agriculture Economics, Commodity Marketing, Agricultural Price Analysis, Agricultural Policy, and other agricultural economics subjects. Dr. Stark came to UAM in August, 1996 after a three and a half year research appointment with the University of Georgia's Coastal Plain Experiment Station in Tifton, Georgia. He also taught agricultural economics courses at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia during that period and taught Farm Management at the University of Kentucky prior to his Ph.D. studies. Dr. Stark and his wife, Teresa, have a son, Tim, and a daughter, Tina.

Dr. Rocky Lindsey

Dr. Rocky Lindsey joined the UAM Agriculture department in January, 2017 as the Professor of Animal Science.  Dr. Lindsey is a 1991 graduate of Rison High School and graduated from UAM with an Animal Science degree.  He went on to get his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from LSU in 1998.  Dr. Lindsey worked as a mixed animal veterinarian, before owning and operating two successful small animal veterinary clinics for over 10 years before selling them in 2015.   He is active with his church and the MBSF college ministry on the UAM campus.  He frequently does veterinary work on short term mission projects to Haiti and Belize.  He has two sons, Isaac and Jonah, and has been married to his wife, Alicia since 2001.  

Rusty Jones

Rusty Jones of Monticello is the Collegiate Rodeo Coach for UAM.  Mr. Jones joined the faculty in the UAM School of Agriculture in July, 2010. Rusty is a Florida native with a number of years of rodeo experience. He attended Missouri Valley College and competed in the Ozark Region.  He obtained his Master’s degree from Lindenwood University.  The University of Arkansas at Monticello participates in the NIRA’s Ozark Region and under Coach Jones' leadership, will compete in ten rodeos during the school year. He and his wife, Lisa, have four children, Veda, Tipton, Willis and Adalee.
