Heather McKinzie of Dumas, a practical nursing student at the College of Technology-McGehee, won first place in the skills competition at the 11th annual Arkansas Licensed Practical Nursing Association’s skills competition held April 5-6 in Batesville. McKinzie was judged for knowledge and performance as well as client-nurse interaction, manual dexterity and documentation skills based on what she has learned in the classroom, laboratory and through clinical experiences.
