Minutes from last year's meeting were approved.Reports
Chair (Francis Brandau-Brown)
- Convention schedule: Louisville 2007, Savannah 2008, Norfolk 2009, Memphis 2010
- heme for next year: Relationships and Communities in the Digital Age
- Request for increased paper submissions for Louisville next year
- Membership in the division is up this year from last.
Vice-Chair (Michael Arrington)
- Thanks to everyone who submitted, served as readers, responded, or chaired panels.
- This year there were 19 paper submissions and 14 were accepted. There were three panels submitted and 2 were selected. This was for a total of 5 panels- this number would increase with more submissions.
- Top paper awards were presented
- Top paper: Kory Floyd and Alan Mickkelson
- Top student paper: Jennifer Gray
Vice-Chair Elect (Melissa Young)
- In planning for next year she requests roundtables or workshops. These allow the opportunity to contribute and to add panels.
- Suggestion from Lynne Webb that the interpersonal division is uniquely situated to discuss certain topics (i.e. injustices in academic life). Could be a useful venture to co-sponsor roundtable discussions with other divisions.
