Several IMA members attended the
Arkansas Society of CPAs Career Fair in Little Rock on September 26,
2011. This annual event gives students an opportunity to network
with CPA firms, governmental agencies, and private businesses in
Arkansas. From L to R: Melissa Stewart, Kristi Ferguson, Nakole
Owens Luker, Bianca Culpepper, Ariel Henry, Kortney Keen, and Courtney
Stephenson.
During the fall semester we have had
two guest speakers: Craig Kaminicki, CPA and owner of Richard
Maxwell and Associates in Crossett, AR, and Dr. Tommy Hodge, Professor
of Accounting at the University of Louisiana Monroe. On November
15th Charlie Searcy will be our guest speaker. Charlie is a
partner with Searcy & Associates in Monticello. The picture below
is of Dr. Hodge and his grandson, AJ Morgan. AJ is a senior
accounting major at UAM and an IMA member.
