UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Final meeting of the spring semester - Tuesday, April 24th 12:40 - Dr. Gulledge will speak on CMA awareness.  Please try to attend.

  • End of Year Party - Saturday, April 28th - 5:00 p.m. - Dr. Gulledge's home - we will have directions at the meeting on 4/24.

  • Graduation - Friday, May 11th  - 2:00 for School of Business graduatates

RECENT EVENTS

 

Congratulation to alumni Lauren Robinson for passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and to Jenny Dunn for passing the Chartered Accountant (CA) exam in Australia.  We are proud of both of these young ladies!!

Congratulations to our newly elected officers for the 2012-2013 academic year.  They are: 

  • President - Kristi Ferguson

  • Vice-President - Brooke Herrington

  • Secretary - Misty Hall

  • Treasurer - Hannah Cypert

  • Director of Programs and Activities  - KeAnna Moore

  • Director of Publicity - Cory Yarberry

 

On Saturday, April 7th the IMA students participated in our 4th annual Easter egg hunt for the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home (ABC).  ABC is an organization that provides housing for approximately 50 foster children between the ages of 3 and 18.  According to Chairperson Melissa Stewart "The event was a huge success.  The children had a great time dying the eggs and then hunting eggs later in the day."  Each child receives a basket of "goodies" including a t-shirt to mark the event, some prizes, and candy.     This is an event that all of our members enjoy participating in.  We are already looking forward to the 2013 Easter egg hunt!

 

 

On Saturday, February 18th the IMA student group participated in Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Arkansas Special Olympics.  The group raised $700 for Special Olympics.  Those participating were:  Sponsor Dr. Gulledge, Kristi Ferguson, Melissa Stewart, Misty Hall and Cory Yarberry.

 

On Thursday, February 9th, the members and sponsors of IMA had a fun night.  Those participating ate dinner at La Terrazza and then went bowling at Marquee Lanes.
