Chi Iota Sigma Gives to First Assembly of God Church
Since its inception in 2001, Chi Iota Sigma (Computer Information Systems student club) has collected canned and non-perishable food items at Easter time for distribution to local food banks. This year the club's president, Calvin Davis, reported that the club members not only reached their goal of 500 items, but exceeded it by collecting 582 items. The club would like to extend its thanks to everyone who helped make this annual effort such a great success.

Chi Iota Sigm Meeting Minutes for March 4, 2010
- Officers Present:

- Old Business
- The canned food drive will be held until March 19
- The Club's company tour will be held in April either at JRMC or Verizon
- The Bake Sale to raise money for the company tour trip will be held April 7 and 8
- CIS Day is Friday, March 12
- New Business
- The Club voted to stop collecting soda cans
- UAM's Career Fair will be held March 31
- Moved discussion of Relay for Life to next meeting when more details are available
- CIS Awards Luncheon will be held April 27 at the University Center
- UAM is looking for volunteers for Arkanasas Mission of Mercy dental clinic, May 19-23
- Members decided to have pizza for lunch at the next meeting

- The President thanked all Club members for helping with the Foster Kids Christmas
- Book stipend for the Spring semester is February 26 - return form to Mrs. Jacobs in room 101

- Club members elected a new secretary: Jarod Malin
- Canned Food Drive for the Spring semester will be help March 1-19 - goal is 500 items
- March 12 is CIS Alumni Day-there will be guest speakers in several class throughout the morning
- Company tour-looking at Verizon, Acxiom, or Entergy in mid-April
- Bake Sale was announced and student need to decided if want to participate

Since its inception in 2001, Chi Iota Sigma (Computer Information Systems student club) has collected canned and non-perishable food items at Thanksgiving time for distribution to local food banks. This year the club's president, Calvin Davis, reported that the club members not only reached their goal of 750 items, but exceeded it by collecting 1,022 items. The club would like to extend its thanks to everyone who helped make this annual effort such a great success.

- Christmas window painting at the UC - dates?
- Deadline to pay dues is today
- Conclusion:
- Angel Tree donation will be $200
- Canned food goal will be 750 cans
- Three club members will claim and paint a windo on November 23 and 24 at 10 AM
- Officer's meeting will be December 1
- Christmas snack buffet will be provided by CIS faculty on December 3 for the next meeting
