The Arkansas State Communication Association is a community of professionals devoted to
the rigorous study and ethical practice of oral communication as an essential discipline, life skill,
and art form. Through continuing teacher education, student participation, and scholarly
publication the association supports the efforts and continued growth of communication teachers,
students and researchers.

- Every host must send in a sanctioning request form 30 days prior to the event.
This is sent to
Lance Taylor at AAA. He either approves its or disapproves it. Basically it seems he looks at the
time and date the event occurs and makes sure it is not during the school day before 3:30. This
form can be found at AAA website www.ahsaa.org then go to download forms, and click on
"Application for Sanction of an Interscholastic Invitational Event"
