Purpose:
The purpose of this exercise is for students to get to know something about themselves and the other members of the class.
Objective:
For students to become more relaxed with the class and themselves.
Materials:
- "What I would be if I were..." handout
- Markers and/or crayons
Procedure:
- Ask each student to remember how much fun elementary school was.
- Announce that they are returning to the "good ole days" when school was not only fun, but easy.
- Pass out "What I would be if I were..." handout and ask each student to color a picture for each category.
- Stress that artistic ability is not the key - creativity and fun are!
- Let students share what they have drawn in one or more categories with the class.
Use either pictures or words!
