Materials:

- Copies of ENITS OR ENOTS Quiz

- Hand out copies of STAD Simulation - Worksheet.
- Read the rules for determining ENITS OR ENOTS.
- Give the following directions:
As a group you have 20 minutes to complete the worksheet determining which creatures are ENITS and which creatures are ENOTS. Your goal is NOT just to finish the worksheet but also make sure that everyone in your group can recall and apply the rules correctly. At the end of the 20 minutes, we will check the worksheet and then you will be given a quiz on ENITS OR ENOTS. Your grade will be determined by the average score of the members of your group, even though you will take the quiz individually. It is therefore extremely important that you make sure that each member of your group can recall and apply the rules correctly.- Check the worksheet for correct answers following the 20 minutes.
- Give the quiz. (You may wish to move the members of the groups to form other groups to take the test. It is interesting to note that students do no want to help others in answering the questions because they are not a part of their own group.)
