Drama Units and Activities

"What Cha Doin"

Unit(s): Acting/Improvisation/Stage Movement

Purpose:

To create quick thought between performers and work on listening and cooperation between performers

Objective:

The student will be able to listen and respond to others on stage.

Materials:

None (The student must come up with his/her own subject for the partner to mime.)

Procedure:

Select two students for this exercise.

One student in the group will ask, "What cha doin?" The other student will give an action and the person that asks then starts miming the action.

Repeatedly and rapidly it continues to follow the same format.
