Purpose:
To develop an improvisation using only titles of songs
Objective:
Students will create an improvisational scene utilizing only words that are titles of songs. Responses are to carry on a conversation, but titles are the only words that are communicated.
Materials:
Prompts or topics should be given to the students.
Examples:
A. Two old people in a nursery
B. A thief and the police
C. Two farmers in the city for Saturday night
Procedure:
- Students are selected for the improvisation and are told that they can communicate only in song titles with the other person in the scene.
- They should develop the scene following the proper makeup of an improvisation and a character should be established.
