Drama Units and Activities

What's the Object?

Unit activity could be used for: Acting

Purpose:

To create an imaginative scene

Objectives:

The students will create an improvisation focusing on the development of imagination using unrelated objects.

Materials:

A sack with 5 - 6 unrelated objects

Procedure:

  1. This activity can be done with from 2 to 5 students in a group.
  2. Give each separate group a sack with unrelated objects.
  3. Instruct students to create an improvised scene around the unrelated objects. Encourage students to use their imagination in developing a far-fetched scene.
  4. Give students 20 - 30 minutes to plan and rehearse scene.
  5. Present scenes.
