Purpose:
To allow the drama student a chance to develop his/her concentration skills
Objective:
The student will have an opportunity to develop and increase concentration skills.
Materials:
2-4 minute comedy routine, comic monologue, or, as is usually the case, 4 to 5 jokes.
Procedure:
- Assign comic pieces several days prior to activity.
- While they are each telling their "jokes," previously appointed hecklers begin heckling them during their presentation.
- To add heat, video these performances and they then evaluate their own concentration or lack of concentration in the middle of the fray!
