MONTICELLO, AR — Parents and family members of University of Arkansas at Monticello students will be special guests of the university this Saturday as UAM celebrates Parent-Family Appreciation Day.
Seven students are currently taking advantage of scholarship funds made available by the Arkansas Department of Health to complete a one-semester course in emergency medical technician (EMT) training at the UAM College of Technology-McGehee. Following completion of the one-semester course, the students are eligible to continue to a three-semester program to earn a technical certificate as paramedics.
