MONTICELLO, AR — Three political science students at the University of Arkansas at Monticello participated in the first World Congress on Undergraduate Research (WCUR) hosted by the National Council for Undergraduate Research (CUR) at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar, November 13-15.
MONTICELLO, AR — Chris Ratcliff, director of athletics at the University of Arkansas at Monticello since 2009, has accepted a similar position at Rogers State University in Claremore, Okla. Ratcliff came to UAM in 2006 as head women’s basketball coach and a year later added the duties of assistant athletic director for compliance. In 2011 he stepped down as women’s basketball coach to devote himself full-time to the duties of athletics director.
These seven members of the University of Arkansas at Monticello debate team competed at the recent LSU-Shreveport Debate Tournament. Others competing but not pictured were Jacob Chisom of Monticello, Grace Nash of Mount Holly, Abbygail Rounsaville of Mabelvale, and Nshyka Shelton of Monticello. Chisom reached the round of 16 in the varsity debate competition while Adkins and Hargis each reached the final 16 in junior varsity debate. Chisom and Graves reached the semifinals in team debate.
