Five Projects To Benefit From Centennial Opportunity Fund

MONTICELLO, AR — The addition of multimedia technology to the John F. Gibson University Center is one of five projects selected for funding from the University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Centennial Circle Endowment earnings, according to Linda Yeiser, vice chancellor for advancement and university relations.

IMA Student Chapter Wins Gold Award

The student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants at the University of Arkansas at Monticello was recently presented with a Gold Chapter Award at the IMA national convention in Los Angeles. The award is presented to college and university chapters meeting a set of criteria, including submission of a yearbook and volunteer and community service work.

Nicole Mullen Receives Institute of Management Accountants Scholarship

MONTICELLO, AR — Nicole Mullen of Green Forest, a senior accounting major at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, was recently selected from a nationwide pool of applicants to receive the 2015 Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Memorial Educational Fund Scholarship.

Centennial Opportunity Fund Helps Pay For New Piano Lab

MONTICELLO, AR — The Division of Music at the University of Arkansas at Monticello has a new piano and music technology laboratory, thanks in part to a $20,000 donation from the school’s Centennial Opportunity Fund.

Two Receive Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Awards To Teach at UAM

MONTICELLO, AR — Gervasio Ravarotto of Argentina and Yeison Martinez of Colombia have been awarded grants from the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program to serve as teaching assistants in Spanish and take courses at the University of Arkansas at Monticello for the 2015-16 academic year.
