School of Nursing Salutes Faculty Achievements

The School of Nursing would like to congratulate faculty for their recent achievements. Karen Hyatt, Assistant Professor and Robin Wood, Simulation Coordinator/Clinical Instructor on passing their certification exam for theNational League for Nursing Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator certification (CNE-cl).  This certification is the mark of distinction and professionalism for nursing faculty. The certified academic clinical nurse educator (CNE-cl) demonstrates expertise and facilitates the learning of nursing students throughout clinical components of an academic nursing program by providing fair evaluations of learners’ performance in meeting expected learning outcomes. The educator is accountable for providing learning experiences, guidance, challenges, and support that will facilitate the learners’ performance.  This certification communicates to students, peers and the academic and health care communities that the highest standards of excellence are being met.
