UAM To Host “Information Night” At El Dorado Convention Center November 10

MONTICELLO, AR — Students from 13 El Dorado area high schools will have the opportunity to learn about academic programs and college life at the University of Arkansas at Monticello when UAM hosts “Information Night” at the El Dorado Convention Center November 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.

            The event will give students and their parents the chance to meet with UAM administrators, faculty, staff, students and coaches, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions. Students from El Dorado, Smackover, Hampton, Parkers Chapel, Magnolia, Strong-Huttig, Junction City, Camden Fairview, Camden Harmony Grove, Stephens, Taylor, Emerson and Bradley High Schools are invited to attend, along with students from South Arkansas Community College.

            “This is a chance for students and their parents to learn more about UAM, what we offer in terms of academic programs, college life, financial assistance and scholarships,” said Whiting. “The El Dorado area is important to us and we want to make sure we do all we can to inform and educate about the opportunities available at UAM.”
