MONTICELLO, AR — High school students in the Jacksonville area trying to decide which college to attend may learn more about the University of Arkansas at Monticello at UAM Information Night January 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Jacksonville Community Center at 5 Municipal Drive in Jacksonville.
Faculty and staff, administrators, current students and alumni will be available to meet with high school students and their parents to discuss the advantages of attending UAM. “We want students in central Arkansas to know that UAM offers a first rate education at an affordable price,” said Mary Whiting, dean of enrollment management. “Our students are known by their names and receive individual attention to help them achieve their goals. These are just some of our strengths. Also, UAM is a short 2-hour drive from the Little Rock metro area. Students can go away from home to college but still be nearby.”
UAM officials will provide information about admission requirements, availability of scholarships and financial aid, degree options, student programs and activities, athletics, campus organizations, and UAM’s two Colleges of Technology in Crossett and McGehee.
For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at (870) 460-1026 or (800) 844-1826.
