UAM To Host Parent/Family
Appreciation Day Saturday (9/14/09)
MONTICELLO, AR — Comedian and hypnotist Michael C. Anthony, a favorite
performer on college campuses across the country, headlines the University
of Arkansas at Monticello’s Parent-Family Appreciation Day activities on
Saturday (September 19).
Named the “Campus Male Performer of the Year” by Campus Activities
Magazine, Anthony will perform as part of a program that begins at 2
p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center.
Parent-Family Appreciation Day begins at 1 p.m. with a registration and
reception in the Spencer Gallery of the Fine Arts Center, followed by a
program to include a welcome from Chancellor Jack Lassiter, a performance by
the UAM concert choir, presentation of the 2009 Family of the Year Award,
and an appearance by Anthony.
Following Anthony’s performance, parents and family members will be guests
at the Chancellor’s Tailgate Cookout prior to the 6 p.m. kickoff between UAM
and Henderson State University at Convoy Leslie-Cotton Boll Stadium.
