MONTICELLO, AR — Football and Halloween collide this weekend at the
University of Arkansas at Monticello for a “Spooktacular Tailgating Event.”
Sponsored by UAM’s Student Activities Board, the school’s tailgate party
prior to Saturday night’s home game with No. 1-ranked North Alabama will
take on a Halloween flavor. Student organizations will create carnival
booths for tailgaters to visit with cash prizes to be awarded for creativity
and entertainment value.
The Student Activities Board is also sponsoring a Halloween costume contest
open to all tailgaters, including a separate contest for young children.
Persons wishing to enter the costume contest must register at Convoy
Leslie-Cotton Boll Stadium. Contest winners will be announced at the end of
the third quarter.
