Four students from a Japanese class at the University of Arkansas at Monticello accompanied instructor Yukiko Shepherd to the Celebration of Culture in Nashville, Tenn., October 3. The students watched Japanese dancers and musicians perform classical pieces and attended a tea ceremony at the invitation of Takeshi Yodo, vice consul of public diplomacy for the consulate-general of Japan. The tea ceremony was conducted by Kentaro Ookuni.
