University of Arkansas at Monticello Chancellor Jack Lassiter is recovering from a stroke he suffered on June 16. Lassiter is currently an out-patient undergoing physical therapy at the Baptist Rehabilitation Institute in Little Rock. “I was extremely fortunate to receive both immediate and excellent medical care from the staff at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello and at UAMS,” said Lassiter. “I am on my way to a full recovery and hope to be back on the job part-time beginning next week.” Contact: Jim Brewer, Director of Media Services (870) 460-1074 / office (870) 723-7354 / cell brewer@uamont.edu |
