UAM To Offer Beginner’s Sewing Class As Part Of Community Education Program (1/12/12)

MONTICELLO, AR — The University of Arkansas at Monticello will offer a beginner sewing class  in February and March as part of the university’s non-credit community education program.  The course will cover basic sewing techniques, pattern reading, basic alteration methods, and provide an understanding of fabrics and their uses.  Michelle Carter will serve as class instructor.
            The class will be held in the House Room of the John F. Gibson University Center February 9, 16, March 1 and 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Fee for the course is $80.  Participants will need to bring their own portable sewing machines and basic sewing supplies.             Registration forms are available online at http://www.uamont.edu/alumni/commed.  Enrollment in this course is limited to 10, so early registration is recommended. Payment for the class must be submitted by February 2.
