The proctor will provide the time during testing. The ASSET test consists of writing skills, reading skills, numerical skills, and intermediate algebra. The testing takes approximately two and one-half (21/2) hours. If you do not pass a section(s), you only have to retake the section(s) you did not pass. Asset study guides are available. To enroll in any technical program, prospective students must be at least 18 years of age and are required to take an entrance exam. The A.S.S.E.T. is a student advising, placement and retention tool used by UAM College of Technology - McGehee to determine eligibility for all programs offered.  Scores from the A.C.T. may also be accepted. Please do not bring children to the testing site.

RETESTING INFORMATION
If a student wishes to retest, he/she may take one section or all three dependent upon where the low score was received. The test may be taken up to 3 times each year. UAM College of Technology - McGehee will select the highest test score.
