Students: Search for academic reserves by the name of the professor.
Faculty: Fill out a
course reserve form (PDF) to reserve materials for a class.
About the Reserve Collection
Library and faculty reserves are located at the Circulation Desk. Reserve items are not available for browsing by patrons. You must request reserve items from circulation personnel. To ensure accessibility, reserve loans are limited to one item at a time.
Any item on reserve may be used in the library for two hours while the library is open. Renewals are not allowed. If the instructor allows the students to remove reserve items from the library overnight, these items must be checked out no more than one hour before the library closes. These items must be returned no later than one hour after the library opens the next day.
Fines are 20 cents the first hour overdue and 10 cents each additional hour, up to a maximum of $30. These policies will be strictly enforced.
Reserve Guidelines
The library requests that lists of items be placed on reserve in advance, before they are needed by the class. The library cannot guarantee that the items will be available for use if the professor does not adhere to this policy.
Each item in the Reserve Collection must be cataloged and entered in the library's database. A PERMANENT bar code label will be affixed to your personal items and photocopies.
Items are placed on reserve for one semester.
At the end of the withdrawal date, the items are removed from the reserve shelves. They are returned either to the library stacks or to the professors.
