To maintain an atmosphere that is conducive to study and research, cell phone use is not allowed in the Fred J. Taylor Library. Those using cell phones will be asked to continue their conversation outside the library. Everyone is welcome to return to the library when his or her conversation is finished.
Food and Drink
Eating and drinking are not allowed in the library. Anyone eating/drinking will be asked to discard the items or leave the building until the items are consumed.
Disruptive Behavior
Disruptive behavior is not tolerated. Unruly and/or noisy patrons will be asked to leave the library. If necessary, Department of Public Safety will be asked to assist.
Library Copy Cards
Photocopies are .10 per page. There will be no refunds. Patrons must purchase a library debit card for $1 in order to use the photocopier, microfilm reader/printer, or to print from Internet terminals. Once the card is purchased, the library debit card is the sole responsibility of the patron. If the card becomes cracked, bent, warped or otherwise unusable, the patron will have to buy a new card. There are no refunds for the cost of the card, or the value that was on the card. Debit cards are replaced free ONLY if the card was defective at the time of purchase.
Use of Library Supplies
The library will not supply paper, pencils, liquid paper, paper cutters, scissors, or other office supplies. A pencil sharpener, stapler, and hole punch are provided next to the copy machine, located at the southeast corner of the library around the corner from the atlases. Use of scissors in the library is prohibited.
