Workforce Education Instructor for Nursing Assistant

The University of
Arkansas at Monticello College of

is seeking applicants for the position of Workforce
Ed Instructor for Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities: This position will work under the supervision of the Practical Nursing
Chairperson. Duties include:
teaching the Nursing Assistant course, supervising students in a variety
of healthcare clinical settings; typing instructional materials, reports and
correspondence; compiling data and submitting program and student reports;
serving as a student advisor; maintaining lab and training equipment; keeping
program and student records; assisting with recruitment and placement; teaching
non-credit safety classes as needed; participating in professional development;
serving on committees as assigned; working with an advisory committee;
coordinating services with area healthcare facilities; and other duties as
assigned. |
Qualifications:
Candidate must hold the minimum of an Arkansas
Practical Nurse license in good standing with a
minimum of four years work experience in the nursing
profession that includes experience in a long term
care healthcare facility or a Arkansas Registered
Nurse license with a minimum of three years in the
nursing profession which includes experience in a
long term healthcare facility.
Nursing experience must include at least two
years of experience in a long-term health care
facility.
Must possess required interpersonal communication,
problem solving, decision making, organizational,
and computer skills; must be willing to travel to
and from clinical facilities; teach evening classes
as scheduled; supervise evening and night clinical
rotations when needed; and obtain professional
certifications as deemed necessary.
