Posted by Human Relations on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 2:23 PM University of Arkansas at Monticello The University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology-McGehee (www.uamont.edu/jobs) is seeking applications for the full-time, ten and one-half month faculty position of Workforce Ed Instructor of Automotive Technology. Responsibilities: Teach automotive technology to students using a variety of teaching aids, methods and techniques following the state approved curricula. Instructor must maintain an active advisory committee and work closely with dealers, independent shop owners and supervisors. Will coordinate factory instructed courses with school and local dealers. Teaching responsibilities may include web-based and/or compressed interactive video courses, evenings and summers. Qualifications: Formal education of baccalaureate’s degree plus two years of experience in the vocation being taught; OR high school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a one-year advanced training program in a specialized field, plus five years experience in automotive mechanics, OR high school diploma or equivalent, plus six years experience in automotive mechanics. Must have an Arkansas Teacher’s License or obtain an Arkansas Teacher’s License within one year of employment. Must be ASE Certified or obtain ASE certification in all eight areas of Automotive Technology within one year of employment. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience with excellent fringe benefits.
